The Do’s and Dont's of Company Change

Many companies are experiencing a period of change – be that with staff moving on or simply being transferred into other roles. Outplacement services are being widely utilised by large companies looking to ensure their personnel are able to find suitable roles or read just to new ones.

* Manage the Survivors – During these testing times it is critical that everyone is focused and pulling in the right direction. Many companies fail to invest enough time and effort into managing the remaining employees, this means that the remaining employees often have one eye on the job market rather than both eyes on the task in hand. Often key performers leave to alternative employment as they fear they ‘could be next to be made redundant’. Try to work more closely with those who are the company’s long term asset and ensure that they feel their development and career have not been shelved.
